Case Summary:
A seismic imager from Taiwan approached North America Immigration Law Group (WeGreened.com) for help with his EB-2 NIW (National Interest Waiver) petition. He wanted to obtain a green card and knew that we would do everything to help him accomplish his goal. We did not let him down—a little over 5 months after we filed the petition on his behalf, Texas Service Center granted their approval.
So what convinced the USCIS to approve our client’s EB-2 NIW petition? Although case approval is heavily dependent on each petitioner’s credentials and the respective adjudicating officer in charge of the case, we have learned that the incorporation of certain key points help move things along. For instance, we detailed our client’s doctoral degree, the 245 citations collected from his work, and the 19 citations to his name. We also carefully reviewed the research summary that our client provided us and concluded that his investigations on biomedical optics, photonics, and seismic imaging for use in the medical field and in geophysical science improve the United States healthcare industry and overall public health.
To further fortify our petition, we helped our client select a handful of expert researchers who were familiar with his work and/or had worked with him, and urged him to ask them for recommendation letters. Four experts agreed to advocate for the approval of our client’s EB-2 NIW petition, one of whom stated that “… [Client] is a researcher with a unique perspective that allows him to conduct research heavily geared towards practicality and usability.”
Last Step towards a Green Card:
Our client recently retained our expert services to help him and his spouse file their I-485 applications. As the last step in the green card process, approved applications will lead to highly sought-after permanent residency. We look forward to helping them accomplish this goal and we thank them for choosing our law firm.
