Case Summary:
A gastroenterology expert hired our firm to represent him for his NIW (National Interest Waiver) case at the USCIS. He was investigating common gastroenterological, liver, and nutrition diseases and trying to understand the changing epidemiology of such conditions using his expertise in esophageal diseases and clinical nutrition in order to improve practice guidelines, treatments, and therapies. It quickly became apparent to us that his endeavor was significant especially because it has epidemiological and clinical applications for preventing and treating gastroenterological diseases and their implications on cardiovascular diseases, as well as esophageal cancer.

We found that his research addresses the clinically relevant connections between COVID-19 and alcohol-associated hepatitis (AH). It thus became even more apparent that he has addressed an urgent knowledge gap regarding these two diseases and their compounding effects.
It was due to his knowledge and expertise in epidemiology and gastroenterology, that he has been regularly invited to conduct peer reviews for authoritative journals in the field and has completed at least 16 reviews to date. He has also published 11 peer-reviewed journal articles (5 of them first-authored). And these publications have been cited a total of 105 times according to Google Scholar.
