Case Summary: 

A postdoctoral associate from Iran secured the services of North America Immigration Law Group (WeGreened.com) to file an EB-2 NIW (National Interest Waiver) petition and I-485 application on his behalf. He chose to file the latter while his NIW petition was still pending and received approval notices roughly two months apart. It took the USCIS over a year to adjudicate our client’s EB-2 NIW case. In total, our legal team raised two service requests and sent a follow up email once the processing timeline went beyond the norm. A month after we raised the second service request to no avail, we advised our client to contact his congressperson, who informed him that his NIW case was in queue to be assigned. 13 days later, our client received an approval notice from Texas Service Center.

Case Proceedings:

We listed his Ph.D. in Physics and his citation and publication record, which at the time of filing stood at 78 and 8 respectively. To further fortify our EB-2 NIW petition, we urged our client to gather recommendation letters from other professionals in his field.
