Success Stories: Thanks to Our Case Prepping Strategy, an Expert in Neuroscience Wins NIW Status Confirmation without RFE

Client’s Testimonial:

“I am a neurosurgeon interested in neurooncology and I have retained this group to file my case and I really appreciate their help. They have managed everything perfectly and they organized everything in an extremely professional way. Without this organized group, it would have been very difficult for me to go through the whole process or properly prepare my case in an ideal way.”

On October 12th, 2022, we received another EB-2 NIW (National Interest Waiver) approval for a Neurosurgeon Clinical Instructor in the Field of Neuroscience (Approval Notice).

General Field: Neuroscience

Position at the Time of Case Filing: Neurosurgeon Clinical Instructor

Country of Origin: Egypt

Country of Residence at the Time of Filing: Egypt

Approval Notice Date: October 12th, 2022

Processing Time: 9 months, 19 days

Case Summary:

“Neurosurgical interventions are uniquely expensive in the realm of healthcare services. [The client’s] advancements are critical in this area because his research determines exactly which factors contribute to the cost of each procedure. As such, based on his work, physicians can recommend specific procedures without the worry of placing crushing economic burdens on patients. More broadly, [the client] has also conclusively determined which procedures are the safest, protecting the health of patients as well as their finances. The steps [the client] has made in his innovative research are critical to patients around the world suffering from brain tumors.”

“[The client’s] research has far-reaching implications for the US. His work is especially important considering that brain cancer persists as one of the most considerable health challenges facing the country. [The client’s] work has a vital role to play in national efforts to combat this deadly form of cancer. [The client’s] work enhances the chances of successful treatment, reducing the considerable health burdens associated with brain cancer in the US. Ultimately, [the client’s] work is in the best interest of the nation.”

These statements were made by experts in favor of an NIW (National Interest Waiver) client hailing from Egypt. He was himself a neurosurgeon clinical instructor in the area of neuroscience and his proposed endeavor was to work on investigating brain cancer molecular biology in order to develop novel diagnostic and prognostic approaches for the early detection of tumors and to improve the safety of microsurgical techniques in skull-base and deep brain tumors surgeries.

As is apparent from the above statements, our client was a talented researcher whose work was of immense benefit to the United States and should thus be allowed to continue. Other factors that we found were helpful in proving his worth for the nation were as follows:

  • His academic output was continuous and significant. He had published at least 42 peer-reviewed journal articles (13 of them first-authored). And these publications had been cited a total of 446 times according to Google Scholar indicating that his research has also gone on to influence his peers.
  • At the same time, his 4 years of continuous work in the field have given him knowledge and expertise making him a reliable peer reviewer for several magazines. He has been invited to conduct at least 50 reviews for separate magazines in the field.
  • Furthermore, his study has received funding from numerous sources indicating the value and reliability of his work for the country. Some of the major funding sources were the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR), the Association of Coloproctology of Great Britain and Ireland (ACPGBI), the Bowel Disease Research Foundation (BDRF), the Association of Upper Gastrointestinal Surgeons (AUGIS), the British Association of Surgical Oncology (BASO), the British Gynaecological Cancer Society (BGCS), the European Society of Coloproctology (ESCP), Medtronic, Sarcoma UK, the Urology Foundation (UF), the Vascular Society for Great Britain and Ireland (VSGBI), and the Yorkshire Cancer Research (YCR), etc.

So, we made it our mission to ensure the success of his NIW case and we ended up proving that his work helped people around the world to have access to essential health services such as neurosurgery. We also showed that he has strengthened global public health and asserted the international value of his research in the field of neuroscience, thus his proposed endeavor also has broad implications for the United States since an estimated 18,600 people in the United States will die from a brain tumor in 2021.

We are glad to have worked with him and we wish him the best in his future endeavors.
