Approval Notice Date: January 25th, 2025
Processing Time: 9 months, 9 days
Case Summary:
With a Ph.D. in biotechnology and fundamental research experience, undoubtedly, our client undoubtedly possesses the ability to advance in the field of biomedical research. When she contacted our law firm to file an I-140 NIW (National Interest Waiver) petition on her behalf, we examined more into her degrees and diplomas, and after thoroughly evaluating her credentials, we established that we would lead her to NIW success and countersigned the retainer agreement.
We intended to prove that she is an essential researcher in her field of biomedical research; therefore, we added essential attributes to her NIW (National Interest Waiver) petition packet. We noted that her work has been cited 349 times by dependent and independent researchers, demonstrating that her publications are widely recognized and relied upon in her chosen field. We also detailed her contributions to peer-reviewed conference articles, which resulted in 16 peer-reviewed journal articles (8 of them first-authored) and 1 abstract. Furthermore, we discussed how our client has been invited to conduct peer reviews at least 6 times for elite venues in the field due to her knowledge and expertise in NP formulation and characterization. Since only the most highly esteemed researchers in the field are requested to assess the work of their peers, especially in authoritative journals, our client is seen as very knowledgeable and an expert in her field.
Moreover, our client’s research related to designing, constructing, and characterizing molecular robots that detect specific microRNA molecules as cancer markers in order to provide inexpensive and fast robots to diagnose and treat disease has great substantial merit and national importance. Among other applications, her research is relevant to the application of nanotechnology in cancer diagnosis and therapy. Specifically, she is pioneering efficient molecular robot core designs, harnessing their ability to protect nucleic acids, trigger controlled release into specific cells, and offer improved biocompatibility.
In sum, our client’s research forms a critical contribution to addressing the financial burdens imposed by cancer care and the need for improved treatment capabilities through the optimization of NPs, enhancing the efficiency of molecular robots in disease diagnosis and treatment.
To bolster our client’s case further, we added recommendation letters signed by four other expert scholars in the field, one of whom stated:
“[Client’s] research is at the forefront of the field of biomedicine, especially given her impressive work on optimizing the use of nanoparticles for targeted drug delivery. [Client] developed highly effective and safe delivery mechanisms, with findings valuable to the targeted treatment of cancers such as colon cancer... Her work is also applicable to advancing treatment options for other conditions that rely on targeted therapies, demonstrating the wide-ranging impact [client] has on biomedical research more broadly. As an independent peer in the field, I am confident in saying that [client] is an essential member of the scientific research community, and her work must continue for the benefit of national interests in biomedicine.”
Thus, our client’s education, experience, expertise, record of publication and citation, and history of successful research in the field all indicate that she is well-positioned to advance the proposed endeavor. We are pleased that our efforts and hard work, in this case, paid off well in proving that our client’s major contributions in her field of expertise make her an invaluable asset to the United States; thus, she received her NIW (National Interest Waiver) approval despite waiting for a long time. Therefore, we thank her for choosing the North America Immigration Law Group to represent her case and wish her very well as she continues to advance in her proposed field.
