Case Summary:
Recently at Chen Immigration Law Associates we received a National Interest Waiver approval for a client from Nepal. This client is a senior adviser working in the field of Biogas Technology. His work specializes in the development and distribution of biogas technologies, specifically biogas digesters and appliances designed to burn biogas. Successful research in our client’s field addresses some of the most pertinent issues in today's world, including the implementation of environmentally-friendly fuels and the invention of devices to utilize it efficiently. This client has two master's degrees, but no Ph.D. In order to ensure the success of this case, we submitted extensive documentation of our client’s highly significant contributions to his field. Our client’s work has resulted in at least 3 books, 15 articles published in both peer-reviewed as well as leading business journals, and 15 international conference presentations. Furthermore, his publications have been cited at least 33 times by researchers all around the world from prestigious institutions. Our firm drafted and submitted several recommendation letters from experts in our client’s shared field. One of the leading researchers stated, “We do not simply need a biogas expert; we need a biogas expert who can lead us faithfully into the next stage of energy development, because our well-being as a nation and as a world depends upon capitalizing on renewable energy technologies. Thus, [the Petitioner's] work is critical to the United States, and must be continued.” With the strong petition letter and recommendation letters we prepared, our client’s NIW case was approved.
