Case Summary:
Another exceptional client that Chen Immigration Law Associates had the pleasure of working with was a postdoctoral research associate from the USSR working in the field of medicinal chemistry, focusing primarily on the synthesis of medicinal compounds, especially for cancer treatment, and the development of novel methodologies for quick access to various medicinally-useful molecules. This client wished to continue employment in the field of medicinal chemistry. We at Chen Immigration Law Associates demonstrated that his continued employment in the field would not only benefit those in his field, but the citizens of the United States at large. To achieve success in this case, we submitted extensive documentation proving our client’s highly significant contributions to the field of medicinal chemistry, including at least 13 peer-reviewed journal articles (6 of them first-authored) published in leading journals and 6 conference presentations (3 of them first-authored). This is an admirable record compared to that of his peers. Of his accomplishments, one of the independent recommenders remarked: “[Client] is a widely cited expert on molecular chemistry as it applies to the creation of improved treatment protocols and drugs for cancer and other diseases….The popularity of this research is due to the efficacy and originality of the findings….Few researchers have achieved such a momentous impact on the international research community.” Through extensive documentation, we at Chen Immigration Law Associates successfully argued that our client would serve the national interest to a significantly greater degree than others with similar education and experience. His NIW application was approved in 22 weeks.
