Success Story: NIW Approved Without RFE! We Helped a Research Assistant Secure Success
Client’s Testimonial:
"I had a great experience working with North America Immigration Law Group (WeGreened) throughout my case preparation process. Their team was highly professional, responsive, and detail-oriented, and I never felt abandoned at any stage. They consistently worked to move the process forward efficiently and ensured that every document was carefully reviewed before submission. I was especially happy to receive my I-140 approval without an RFE, which reflects the strength and quality of their preparation.
One thing I would recommend to future clients is to personally double-check all field-specific details in the petition materials, especially conference names, publication venues, and technical distinctions related to your research area. The attorneys are extremely thorough, but certain nuances within specialized academic fields may require the client’s own verification to ensure absolute accuracy."

Case Summary:
We are pleased to share that North America Immigration Law Group secured an I-140 NIW approval for the client, an artificial intelligence expert with an M.Sc. in applied mathematics and physics. The client’s proposed endeavor focused on developing state-of-the-art computer vision techniques based on machine learning and deep learning to advance media forensics and strengthen the robustness and security of visual data processing systems, including applications in facial recognition, medical imaging analysis, and autonomous vehicles.
To demonstrate the client’s significance, we emphasized not only the field’s importance but also the client’s record of concrete contribution. The client authored 9 peer-reviewed conference articles, including 4 first-authored articles. Since conference publications carry particular weight in computer science, this record helped show that the client’s findings had been vetted through meaningful peer review channels. The client’s publications had also been cited 137 times, with several papers ranking among highly cited computer science publications for their respective years. Rather than presenting these citations as a number alone, the petition explained that they reflected independent reliance on the client’s methods in areas such as adversarial robustness, face recognition security, face reconstruction, steganography, and media forensics.
The petition also highlighted that the client completed at least 4 peer reviews, showing that other researchers and publication venues trusted the client’s technical judgment. In addition, the client’s research received support from the National Science Foundation, which helped reinforce the broader scientific and national-interest value of the work.
The petition included two recommendation letters from experts in the field. These letters helped explain the practical relevance of the client’s research, the originality of his contributions, and the ways in which his work had influenced other researchers working on related AI and computer vision challenges. As one expert noted:
“Thus, [Client’s] record of achievement amply demonstrates the indispensability of his research to the U.S.”
This approval recognizes the value of the client’s continued contributions to secure AI, media forensics, and robust visual data processing technologies in the United States. Congratulations to the client on this I-140 NIW approval.
