The proposed endeavor involves designing machine learning–based monitoring systems that optimize solar panel efficiency by detecting power loss and structural defects through innovative image-processing methods. This work supports the transition toward sustainable energy systems, a field of substantial merit and national importance, as it directly contributes to U.S. efforts in clean energy expansion and carbon reduction.
