WORKING WITH OUR FIRM

A clear process.
A realistic employment timeline.

Understand what happens before filing, what your organization provides, and which steps affect the candidate’s ability to begin work.

01 / INITIAL ASSESSMENT24-hour target

For an initial O‑1 evaluation of the candidate’s eligibility and information still needed.

02 / PREPARATION & FILINGWithin 3 weeks

After receipt of the required documents. The checklist and case-specific schedule are confirmed at engagement.

03 / GOVERNMENT PROCESSINGUSCIS Processing Time Varies

USCIS processing is separate from our preparation timeline. For O‑1 petitions, premium processing provides for USCIS action within 15 business days after receipt of a properly filed request and required fees. See how premium processing works.

FROM INQUIRY TO PETITION

What each stage involves.

Review the information and decisions involved at each stage.

01Share the role and candidate background

Begin with the proposed position, a summary of the candidate’s achievements, current immigration status, and your preferred start date. Our target for the initial O‑1 assessment is 24 hours.

02Confirm the strategy and engagement

We discuss eligibility, evidence gaps, petitioner arrangements, scope, and fees. Representation begins under a written engagement agreement.

03Provide the required documents

Your organization supplies employment and organizational information; the candidate provides professional achievements and immigration records. We identify the documents needed for the petition.

04Prepare, review, and file

Our attorneys develop the petition and supporting legal arguments, review the evidence and documents for consistency and completeness, and coordinate signatures before filing. The three-week preparation and filing period starts when the required documents have been received.

05Review the government response and next steps

We address subsequent steps within the agreed scope. Approval, status, travel, and admission requirements must be considered before confirming when employment can begin.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Three parties. Clearly defined contributions.

Your organization

Position, duties, employment terms, organizational information, and required signatures.

Our legal team

Eligibility analysis, evidence strategy, petition preparation, legal review, and filing within the agreed scope.

PLANNING THE START DATE

When can the employee begin work?

There is no single answer for every candidate. Share the person’s current status, location, work authorization, and any deadlines so we can assess the steps relevant to their situation.

O‑1 premium processing: 15 business days.

USCIS action may be an approval, denial, request for evidence, or notice of intent to deny. If USCIS requests evidence or issues a notice of intent to deny, the clock stops; a new 15-business-day period begins when USCIS receives the response.

This timeframe concerns petition processing, not a guaranteed approval or employment start date. Any consular visa, travel, or admission steps are separate.
