Case Summary:
North America Immigration Law Group was approached by a Ph.D. candidate to help him build an EB-2 NIW (National Interest Waiver) petition. Research Overview: We noted that our client, an expert in the field of biochemistry, intends to advance cancer diagnostics and treatment worldwide, which has great substantial merit and national importance. Letters of Recommendation: We also comprised four recommendation letters in his petition packet, presenting other expert’s acknowledgment of our client’s education and training, his documented record of scholarly publication, the recognized influence of his research in the field, his clear future research plans, and employment letter confirming his current position and indicating his advisor’s intent to hire him following the completion of his Ph.D. One of his fellow experts in the field provided the following insight into the merit of his project:
“As suggested by the citations of his work, his research is of great interest to the field. A variety of means of diagnosing cancer and delivering drugs to tumor sites have been emerging in the biochemistry field recently, including nanoparticles and quantum dots… [Client’s] research pinpoints the effects of these substances at the mitochondrial level, investigating the effects of nanoparticles and quantum dots on the mitochondrial functioning of cells.
