Case Summary:

The client that North America Immigration Law GroupWeGreened.com had the opportunity to work in this case was a Senior Engineering Advisor from Iran.   His work had focused specifically on the actualization of breakthrough methodology and metrics for modeling of offshore structures, ranging from integrity-based design to risk models accounting for the environmental effects of Global Climate Change, as well as characterization of souring around littoral and submarine structures. We successfully demonstrated that his continued employment in the field would benefit those in his field, as well as the citizens of the United States at large. In order for our client’s case to be successful, we submitted extensive documentation proving his highly significant contributions to his field, including 7 peer-reviewed articles published in leading field journals and 18 technical papers. His publications had been cited at least 50 times at the time we filed the case; nearly all of the citations were by independent researchers around the world, demonstrating that these publications are widely recognized and relied upon in the field.  The inherit merit of his work was confirmed in the following quote from an independent recommender, “As the height of a surge due to hurricanes has a complex relationship with the water depths in nearshore regions, quantifying the implications of global warming for coastal flooding is a nuanced, complex issue that evades resolution. In this context, [Client’s] research represents an extremely important contribution to the advancement of our understanding of this issue. By utilizing the data from three historical hurricanes, [Client] was able to compare observed hurricane densities, sizes and strengths to those of projected, future hurricanes. Furthermore, by using a broad range of historical hurricanes in their size and strength, [Client’s] analysis provided a benchmark to evaluate the relationship between climate change and coastal flooding.”  Through extensive documentation, we were able to successfully argue that our client would serve the national interest to a significantly greater degree than others with similar education and experience. His NIW petition was approved in 9 months and 24 days.
