North America Immigration Law Group is pleased to share the approval of an I-140 EB-1A petition for an animal science researcher whose work focuses on animal microbiomes, foodborne pathogens, microbiomes in food systems, genomics, and antimicrobial resistance. Although USCIS issued a Request for Evidence, the case was ultimately approved after a comprehensive response that further explained the client’s original contributions and sustained recognition in the field.
The client’s research has advanced important questions in animal health, food safety, sustainable agriculture, and infectious disease surveillance. In particular, the client has investigated the swine gut microbiome across different growth stages, the effects of nutritional and microbial interventions on animal productivity, and the genomic characteristics of foodborne pathogens that affect food supply safety. Supported by two independent expert recommendation letters who addresses the value of the client’s research and the client’s ability to continue advancing the proposed endeavor. One recommender noted: “It is therefore within the interests of the U.S. to allow [Client’s] research to continue.”
