In this case we were privileged to work with a postdoctoral researcher from China whose specialized research has focused on the genetic factors that influence the virology of the hepatitis C virus and on the development of induced pluripotent stem cell biology. Her work had resulted in 5 peer-reviewed scientific articles and 2 patents; at the time her case was filed, her publications had received at least 910 citations in the work of independent and leading researchers from prestigious institutions and organizations around the world, indicating the major significance of her work. She had also reviewed 19 manuscripts for at least 15 distinctive, internationally-circulated journals.
