Case Summary:

Not long ago, North America Immigration Law Group (WeGreened.com) helped a talented postdoctoral research fellow attain EB-1A (Alien of Extraordinary Ability) petition approval. We worked earnestly to build a strong case, and a little over three months after we filed the case on our client’s behalf, he received an approval notice from Nebraska Service Center.

With a doctoral degree and extensive experience working in the field of neuroscience, our client had suitable qualifications to file his I-140 petition under EB-1A. Here are some of the petition’s main points:

  1. Outstanding Investigations: Our client’s work in the field of neuroscience has led to many research projects focused on signaling pathways and protein networks in neural stem cells and neurons. We demonstrated to the USCIS that our client’s findings impact the United States medical system as it advances medical experts’ understanding of neurodevelopmental disorders and other conditions.
  2. Recommendation Letters: To bolster our EB-1A petition, we included recommendation letters furnished by other medical experts, one of whom firmly stated that “[Client’s] major discoveries in neuroscience and developmental biology have propelled him to a place of prominence among researchers worldwide, both in his own field of neuroscience and in related biomedical fields where his work has provided valuable and influential insights.” Another recommender wrote, “His work has impacted cutting-edge studies in a variety of related fields, and his continued research is vital to our ever-growing understanding of key questions in neuroscience and developmental biology.”
  3. Impressive Citation and Publication Record: When we filed our client’s EB-1A petition, his work had gathered 256 citations and he had published 10 scientific articles.
  4. Peer Review Experience: At the time of filing, our client’s peer review portfolio was comprised of 25 peer reviews conducted for approximately 7 high impact journals.
Request for Evidence:

Although we presented a strong case to the USCIS, our EB1A petition was issued a Request for Evidence (RFE). We did not let the RFE deter us and we responded in a prompt and efficient manner. Our response did the trick as not long after we submitted it, the USCIS granted their approval. Our client is now more than halfway through the green card process, making this EB-1A approval another example of our determination to do everything we can to help our clients attain petition approval.
