Client’s Testimonial:
“Thank you for the excellent news and the wonderful job you did in assisting me.”
On March 28th, 2016, we received another EB-2 NIW (National Interest Waiver) approval for a Researcher and Instructor in the Field of Astrophysics (Approval Notice).
General Field: Astrophysics
Position at the Time of Case Filing: Researcher and Instructor
Country of Origin: Italy
Service Center: Texas Service Center (TSC)
State of Residence at the Time of Filing: Florida
Approval Notice Date: March 28th, 2016
Processing Time: 5 months, 7 days
An Italian researcher and instructor hired North America Immigration Law Group (WeGreened.com) to file an EB-2 NIW (National Interest Waiver) petition on his behalf. When he first contacted us, he was also interested in EB-1A (Alien of Extraordinary Ability) but after evaluating his credentials, we determined that the best way for him to get a green card would be via EB-2 NIW.
Our legal team and support staff spent several months putting together a strong NIW petition for our client. We made sure to highlight his strengths such as his Ph.D. in Physics, citation count, and publication record. At the time of filing, these numbers stood at 349 and 41 respectively. We also analyzed our client’s research on the Diffuse X-ray Background (DXB) in the soft band, and examined the best way to prove to the USCIS that his work is of value to the United States. After careful consideration, we established that our client’s findings enhance the field of astrophysics by improving the quality of observations and data analyses for ongoing and future research. We also determined that his work advances the United States technological industry and that only a handful of other similarly qualified astrophysicists can attain comparable research results.
The EB-2 NIW petition packet also contained recommendation letters contributed by other experts in the field, one of whom stated that “[Client] has completed insightful and extremely relevant research in these given areas of interest, which affect many facets of the astrophysics community and the United States national interest. Therefore, I strongly urge for the allowance of his continued research in the United States.”
EB-2 NIW Petition Approval and Green Card Success:
Texas Service Center spent 5 months and 7 days reviewing our client’s case before granting their approval. As the cherry on top of the cake, our client recently informed us that he received his green card not long ago. He used our comprehensive D.I.Y. Packet to guide him through the process of filing an I-485 application. We congratulate him for becoming an American permanent resident and wish him well with his continued research efforts in the country.
