Case Summary:

Just two weeks after filing an EB-1A (Alien of Extraordinary Ability) petition on behalf of a staff scientist from China, we received notification of case approval from the USCIS. Before taking on the case, our evaluation team checked if our client’s qualifications met the EB1A requirements set by the USCIS. After concluding that we could help him obtain petition approval, we initiated the attorney-client relationship and started building a strong case for him.

The following step entailed collecting relevant data to prove our client’s extraordinary ability as a molecular biologist. We assembled a wealth of information related to his professional achievements which included:

• A description of his specialized research which focuses on delineating the molecular mechanisms, pathways, and genetics underlying autoimmune diseases and inflammation.
• His outstanding publication record of 15 peer-reviewed scientific articles and 4 journal abstracts, and a citation record of 309. Our client has consistently published his findings, which proved that he is continuously working to progress the field of molecular biology.
• His record of conducting 16 peer reviews for highly acclaimed scientific journals, which showed that he is active in the field.

We then worked on proving how our client’s studies benefit the United States. Our argument that our client’s research addresses some of the nation’s most pressing issues in understanding how to treat immune dysregulation and prevent inflammation-induced cancer was supported by several experts in the field. They contributed recommendation letters that were incorporated into the EB1A petition. Two of the recommenders emphasized the importance of our client’s work by stating:
