Case Summary:

Not long ago, North America Immigration Law Group (WeGreened.com) filed an EB-1A (Alien of Extraordinary Ability) petition on behalf of a research instructor from China. Our client is a professional in the field of machine learning and has approximately 10 years of experience researching advanced machine learning algorithms for gleaning information from large-scale, multimedia data, such as narrative text, audio signals, and medical images.

EB-1A Petition Specifics:

We were tasked with putting together a strong EB-1A petition packet that would convince the USCIS to approve our client’s petition. We worked diligently to gather as much information as we could on our client’s various achievements and by the time we were ready to file the case, we had amassed a wealth of information. Amongst other things, we included the following in our petition: the 214 citations to his work, the 28 times he judged the work of others, and the 26 publications to his name. We then bolstered our EB-1A petition by including recommendation letters offered by other top machine learning specialists. In support of our client’s petition, one of his recommenders wrote, “[Client] is among the best researchers in machine learning and is most notable for his contributions to biomedical informatics. I know of few others in the field who rival the expertise and influence of [Client], and I therefore assert that his position in the field is essential.”

Premium Processing:

Less than three weeks after we initially filed our client’s EB-1A petition, he asked us to upgrade his case to Premium Processing (PP). By paying an additional $1,225 to the USCIS, petitioners get to enjoy rapid adjudication. On average, it takes the USCIS between 4-9 months to adjudicate a case but with the PP option, petitioners only have to wait up to 15 days for further action to be taken. Exactly nine days after our client’s petition was upgraded to PP, he received an approval notice form Nebraska Service Center.

Favorable Conclusion:

Our well-prepared EB-1A petition dossier coupled with our client’s strong credentials paved the way for case approval. We congratulate our client for coming this far, and we wish him well as he embarks on the final leg of the green card journey with his wife. We thank him for selecting our firm to represent his EB-1A petition, and we wish him the best with his continued research endeavors.
