Case Summary:

North America Immigration Law Group has over 25,000 case approvals under its belt. Gathered over years of service, this has helped our team gain immense experience with various kinds of clients from all over the world. So when an expert in medical science with a proposed endeavor to continue his investigation into various medical conditions, such as syndromic and non-syndromic craniosynostosis, breast reconstruction surgery, and transgender-related surgeries came to us, we ensured that we made his case a successful one.

We found that he wanted to develop an evidence-based approach that provides more accurate diagnoses, identifies appropriate treatments, accurately predicts patient outcomes and side effects, improves patient satisfaction, and optimizes overall patient care. Thus his research addresses the need to ensure people around the world have access to high-quality healthcare. Almost all countries regard healthcare as a human right and offer at least some level of health coverage to all of their citizens, and the United Nations declared in 2019 that it aims to have all people in the world covered by quality healthcare by 2030. Thus, improving the quality of healthcare is an urgent imperative for all countries regardless of their levels of wealth and development, and improving the quality of healthcare is a core priority of our client’s research.

We further showed that his 14 years of work have resulted in 17 peer-reviewed journal articles which have been cited a total of 50 times according to Google Scholar. These academic publications aided in making his case a strong one. So we used them in his petition letter as well.

At the same time, he also obtained 4 letters from experts who knew his work and were ready to corroborate the significance of his work for the U.S. Two of these letters had the following passages in them:

“[The client’s] description and evidence-based evaluation of the parachute surgical technique stands as a key milestone in ongoing efforts to develop improved surgical solutions for hand tendon injuries. His work is of importance to medical science and medical practitioners around the globe.”

“[The client] is a highly experienced researcher in the field of medical science, who I know through his considerable reputation alone. He conducts research that assesses the efficacy of surgical procedures for treating burn injuries and improving the quality of life for burn scar patients. His research is of great value to the cause of advancing American public health, and his research must be allowed to proceed in the United States.”

His proposed endeavor also has broad implications for the United States, as the United States healthcare system is notorious for its exorbitant expenses and deficient quality of care, especially when compared to every other developed, high-income nation, all of which also mandates that all of its citizens have the right to high-quality, publicly-funded healthcare. Our client’s focus on improving the quality of healthcare is thus especially urgent for the United States, and he has already demonstrated his ability to address American national public health concerns through his cancer research and improvement of treatment for severe burn victims.

We are glad to have had the opportunity to help him and aid him in this journey to NIW approval. We are happy that his approval came through only 8 months and 9 days from filing and we wish him all the best in his future endeavors.
