Case Summary:

In this case we were offered the opportunity to work with an Iranian Physicist, who had focused specifically on high-speed communications, energy transport, and data processing using integrated devices. As part of our successful strategy for our client’s case, we submitted extensive documentation proving his highly significant contributions to his field, which included 19 peer-reviewed journal articles and numerous conference papers and presentations.  This work had received at least 515 citations by the time we filed his case, nearly all of which were by independent researchers around the world, demonstrating the wide recognition of and reliance upon our client’s work in his field. We also showed that his continued employment in his field would benefit both his field as a whole and the people of the United States in general. An independent recommender confirmed the importance of his work: “[Client] has had many important insights into the nature of PT symmetric systems, and he has demonstrated many different applications for this understanding of PT symmetry. One such area is the exploitation of PT symmetry in order to achieve the unidirectional invisibility of objects.” We successfully argued that our client would serve the national interest to a significantly greater degree than others with similar education and experience. His NIW petition was approved in 3 months and 30 days.
