Case Summary:
In this case we were offered the opportunity to work with an Iranian pharmaceutical researcher, who had focused specifically on dermatological toxicology. As part of our successful strategy for our client’s case, we submitted extensive documentation proving her highly significant contributions to her field, which included 13 peer-reviewed journal articles and numerous conference papers and presentations. This work had received at least 188 citations by the time we filed her case, nearly all of which were by independent researchers around the world, demonstrating the wide recognition of and reliance upon our client’s work in her field. We also showed that her continued employment in her field would benefit both her field as a whole and the people of the United States in general. An independent recommender confirmed the importance of her work: “Overall, a major part of [Client’s] industrial toxicology research prowess is directed toward investigations into experimental modeling and tools to advance safety assessment approaches for vulnerable populations and better understand the critical infant skin condition of diaper rash. These investigations by [Client] have not only been important to science but also hold significant commercial value in terms of offering new and improved techniques for pharmaceutical, cosmetic, and medical industries.” We successfully argued that our client would serve the national interest to a significantly greater degree than others with similar education and experience. Her NIW petition was approved in 4 months and 11 days.
