Case Summary:

In this case we were offered the opportunity to work with an Indian Research Fellow, who had focused specifically on the biology of breast cancer spread and outcomes research. As part of our successful strategy for our client’s case, we submitted extensive documentation proving his highly significant contributions to his field, which included 8 peer-reviewed journal articles and 11 conference papers and presentations.  This work had received at least 127 citations by the time we filed his case, nearly all of which were by independent researchers around the world, demonstrating the wide recognition of and reliance upon our client’s work in his field. We also showed that his continued employment in his field would benefit both his field as a whole and the people of the United States in general. An independent recommender confirmed the importance of his work: “[Client] is an important researcher in breast cancer and known for his contributions to the field. His work provides essential benefits to the field of oncology and specifically to the millions of women who will have to face breast cancer at some point in their lives.” We successfully argued that our client would serve the national interest to a significantly greater degree than others with similar education and experience. His NIW petition was approved in 5 months and 23 days.
