This client focused on the development of imaging methods which utilize photoacoustic spectroscopy, diffuse optical tomography, and co-registered ultrasound in order to attain unprecedented accurate medical images. She had also contributed toward the development of a numerical correction method that corrects DOT photon depth dependency, conducted an ex-vivo study of ovarian and breast tumors, and more recently, investigated photoacoustic spectroscopy application for early detection and characterization of osteoporotic bones. These areas of research had resulted in 4 co-authored journal articles, 5 first-authored journal articles, 1 book chapter, and 26 conference presentations and/or papers. The aforementioned publications had been cited 84 times at the time of filing this client’s case, clearly demonstrating that other researchers in the field of Medical Imaging rely on her work.
