Not long ago, North America Immigration Law Group helped an assistant project scientist obtain her green card. Our client, who works in the field of bioengineering, retained our firm to file an EB-2 NIW (National Interest Waiver) and I-485 for her. She chose to file her I-485 while her I-140 was pending (I-140 is the first step in the green card process and I-485 is the second step). Less than two months after she received approval of her I-140, her I-485 approval followed suit.

Our client’s extensive experience developing novel diagnostic and therapeutic methods for the screening and treatment of cancer, the 340 citations to her dozen publications, and her doctorate in chemistry obtained from her home country of Taiwan made her a suitable candidate for EB-2 NIW.
