Case Summary:

A gifted Iranian engineer immersed in the field of chemical engineering contacted North America Immigration Law Group (WeGreened.com) when he decided that he wanted to become an American permanent resident. After determining that he qualified for EB-2 NIW (National Interest Waiver), we initiated a binding attorney-client relationship that produced excellent results: an EB-2 NIW petition approval. Here are some of the things that we did to achieve it:

  1. Built a Strong Case

We documented our client’s various professional and academic triumphs: his Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering, the 365 citations to his name, and his 19 published scientific articles—all of which appeared in well-known journals.

  1. Amassed Recommendation Letters

We prompted our client to reach out to other prominent chemical engineers and ask them to furnish us with recommendation letters. We needed experts in the field to attest to the significance of our client’s work on the development and improvement of single and multilayer cast film, conducive polymers, and many other industrially-significant materials. Our client convinced four experts to sign strong testimonials, one of whom stated that “Without his insights and contributions, inefficient manufacturing processes and products become the norm. Enabling the continuation of his work is the strategy by which we achieve our goal of a nation unparalleled in technological success and economic soundness.”

  1. Highlighted the Significance of Our Client’s Work

Leaving no stone unturned, we incorporated every piece of relevant information into our EB-2 NIW petition packet. We then used what we learned to demonstrate to the USCIS that only a scant handful of researchers can attain the same level of research success as our client. We also established that his research findings contribute to the United States’ innovations in oil and water treatment and filtration, food packaging, energy production, biomedicine, electric engineering, and other important industries.

Immigrant Visa Processing (IVP):

Our client is currently residing in Canada and does not qualify to file an I-485 application. Instead, he must complete the green card process via Immigrant Visa Processing at a U.S. embassy or consulate. One he receives an immigrant visa stamp, he may enter the United States with his dependent(s) as permanent residents.
