Case Summary:

A postdoctoral researcher from China approached North America Immigration Law Group (NAILG) for help with her EB-2 NIW (National Interest Waiver) petition. By the time we were ready to file her case, we had amassed a wealth of information on her various achievements in the field of molecular pharmacology.

What do our services entail?

For one, we advised our client on the process of selecting strong recommenders and obtaining their recommendation letters. We ensured that they were experts in the field and had worked with our client and/or were familiar with her research. Our client secured six recommendation letters, all of which advocated for the approval of her EB-2 NIW petition. One of the recommenders described our client as such: “Judging solely from [Client’s] achievements to this point, I believe she will continue to make important contributions that benefit our nation. I strongly doubt [Client] could be replaced with a minimally qualified candidate without causing substantial delays in the molecular biology field that we can ill afford.”

Besides recommendation letters, the petition we prepared for our client contained well-worded summaries of her research on isolating and functionally verifying flavonoid synthesizing genes from the cacao plant for their disease resistance and pharmaceutical applications, as well as research into the stability of major liver drug metabolizing enzymes. Furthermore, we detailed the 88 citations gathered from her 6 published scientific articles and the 13 times she assessed the work of her peers for several high-impact scientific periodicals.

Obtaining petition approval:

The USCIS spent close to 9 moths processing our client’s petition before approving it. We congratulate her on this milestone and wish her well as she continues to conduct research that contributes to drug safety and public health in the United States.
