Case Summary:

Filing an I-485 application while the I-140 petition is pending approval:

Green card applicants can choose to file their I-485 application after their I-140 petition is approved, at the same time, or while it is pending approval. In this case, our client chose the third option and submitted his I-140 and I-485 three months apart. He was fortunate enough to receive both approval notices on the same day, which allowed him to save additional time in the overall green card process.
