Client’s Testimonial:

“Thank you so much for your help in this whole process, to finally get my case approved. It was my pleasure working with you as well, and you were very professional and helpful throughout the process.”

On February 11th, 2020, we received another NIW (National Interest Waiver) approval for a Postdoctoral Researcher in the Field of Biochemistry (Approval Notice).

General Field: Biochemistry

Position at the Time of Case Filing: Postdoctoral Researcher

Country of Origin: Vietnam

State of Residence at the Time of Filing: Indiana

Approval Notice Date: February 11th, 2020

Processing Time: 11 months, 20 days

Case Summary:

A postdoctoral researcher engaged North America Immigration Law Group (NAILG) to help him file an EB-2 NIW (National Interest Waiver) petition. At first glance, his doctoral degree and extensive experience in the field of biochemistry made him a suitable candidate for EB-2 NIW. After carefully evaluating his credentials to be sure that we build a strong case, we determined that he qualified for the national interest waiver.

Part of our services included helping our client select influential experts who could contribute strong recommendation letters in support of his EB-2 NIW petition. We carefully examined these fellow experts and researchers to make sure that they were familiar with our client’s work. Their letters advocated for the approval of our client’s EB-2 NIW petition and served as strong evidence to support his case. To quote one of the recommenders: “It should also be considered that [client] work is specifically of benefit to the United States. Diabetes is a major health concern in your country, and non-healing wounds are a major complication of this disease… Since [client’s] research supports the development of new treatment options for improving wound healing in these patients, his work helps to reduce this mammoth cost. ”

Accompanying these recommendation letters were details on client’s 6 peer-reviewed journal articles (2 of them first-authored) and 1 first-authored book chapter and the 113 citations gathered from his work, which demonstrate our client’s role in the scientific community as a peer reviewer for highly acclaimed journals and conferences. We also reviewed his work on the treatment of chronic wounds in diabetic patients. His research in this area of expertise is of great importance because diabetes affects more than 415 million people worldwide and many diabetics suffer from diabetic foot ulcers, over 50% of which become infected.

Although we presented a strong case to the USCIS, our client’s petition was issued a Request For Evidence (RFE). With our experience of securing over 16,000 I-140 approvals, we put together a solid response which eventually led to the case approval after 11 months and 20 days. We congratulate our client for surpassing this milestone. In conclusion, we would like to thank our client for believing in our services and we wish him a bright future here in the United States.
