Case Summary:     

We are pleased to celebrate the approval of an I-140 NIW (National Interest Waiver) petition for a distinguished researcher in artificial intelligence. This case, approved following a Request for Evidence (RFE), underscores the national significance of his work in applying advanced AI techniques to real-world challenges in e-commerce and cybersecurity.

With a Ph.D. in computer science and engineering, the petitioner’s research focuses on developing sophisticated machine learning and deep learning frameworks to better predict user intent during online interactions. His goal is to create more secure, efficient, and tailored customer experiences, helping U.S. businesses not only safeguard sensitive systems but also drive user engagement and revenue growth through personalization.

Currently employed in industry, the petitioner leads a data science team tasked with designing cutting-edge AI models that optimize real-time recommendations and strengthen threat detection systems. His work directly contributes to improving decision-making speed, cybersecurity defense, and consumer satisfaction—key pillars of competitiveness in both retail and national security sectors.

To support his petition under the EB-2 NIW category, the following evidence was presented:

● 6 peer-reviewed conference papers, including 3 first-authored,

● 60 citations to date, demonstrating the influence of his research across academic and applied AI fields,

● Peer-reviewed articles published in top-ranked venues in computer science, including one paper that ranks among the top 10% most-cited in its publication year,

● A record of highly novel, influential work on email intent detection, insider threat modeling, and personalized information retrieval.

Additionally, his research contributions have gained recognition from academic peers and industry leaders worldwide, many of whom have cited and applied his models to further develop intelligent recommendation systems, cross-lingual intent detection, and workplace communication efficiency tools.

The petition also included two letters of recommendation from established experts in the AI domain, one of which was from an independent source. These letters provided insight into the originality and utility of his work.
