Through this client’s “child-life” therapy method, she uses techniques, such as guided imagery, to help young patients remain calm while at the dentist. It was found that through these techniques, the patients were more likely to continue their oral health treatments and not become uneasy about their visits every six months. The client’s methods have been published in 8 peer-reviewed journals that have been relied upon by other researchers in her field. Her work had been cited 391 times at the time of filing, and had contributed towards an increase in oral health and a decrease in childhood psychological problems. In addition to providing evidence of these journal articles and impact in the child dentistry field, we submitted evidence of invitations addressed to the client to present at international conferences.
