Success Stories: NIW Petition Approved for Pathology Resident in the Field of Medical Pathology in the State of California

Client’s Testimonial:

Victoria Chen and her group came highly recommended by a friend. And throughout the process…they certainly inspired confidence and trust. They were thorough and efficient, knowledgeable and responsive, precise and practical, with a great goal-oriented and cohesive strategy tailored to the quirks of each individual case. I couldn’t be more appreciative, and would highly recommend them for any I-140 petitions.

Country of Origin: Singapore

Service Center: Nebraska Service Center (NSC)

State of Residence at the Time of Filing:  California

Approval Notice Date: June 12, 2014

Case Summary:

For this EB-2 NIW case, we had the privilege to work with a Pathology Resident, who has made substantial contributions to the field of Medical Pathology, particularly in the specialized areas of developmental diseases that affect early childhood. Our client studies the developmental origins of lung macrophages, which are critical for protection against respiratory infections and other lung diseases. Her interdisciplinary background in medical pathology, molecular biology, biophysics, and genetics has equipped her to conceptualize novel experimental designs and perform innovative research, thereby advancing the field to a higher level than her colleagues. Her work has culminated in the publication of one book review, 2 peer-reviewed scientific manuscripts that were published in the top journals of her field, and another manuscript that has been accepted for publication. At the time of filing her case, her publications had been cited 37 times by researchers worldwide, demonstrating the significance of her contributions to the global scientific community.Furthermore, she has presented her work at numerous national and international conferences. The novelty of her work was validated by an independent recommender, who stated, [Client’s] work is notable for the uniqueness of its methodology. She identified a major weakness in previous macrophage studies… Of great importance is the fact that she has found that the descendants of different lineages of embryonic lung macrophages appear to end up in distinct spatial compartments, a finding that has never been described and is entirely novel.” With the extensive and thorough documentation that we provided, we were able to prove that our client’s medical advancements in the pulmonary sector of the healthcare industry has served the nation to a substantially greater degree than that of others with similar education and experience. We were met with success when her NIW petition was approved in 7 months and 29 days.
