來自加州的一位博士後學者委託北美聯合律師事務所（North America Immigration Law Group, NAILG）提交I-140 EB-2 NIW申請，並協助該客戶本人及其眷屬提出I-485申請。本所全力以赴向USCIS提出該客戶各項有力證明，讓客戶的I-485申請在其I-140申請通過的3個月左右之後獲得批准。我們恭喜該客戶及其家屬獲得綠卡，成為美國永久公民。

 

該客戶取得綠卡的過程耗時甚久。為準備NIW申請，我們強調該客戶具有電腦科學博士學位，同時也提出該客戶各項優異的出版紀錄，於遞交申請之時，總計有18篇會議論文與期刊論文獲得131次引用。此外，我們也強調該客戶在電腦計算領域有卓著研究成果，能夠解決電腦軟體不一致以及重現性等問題，足見該客戶之研究對於美國電腦科學的軟體產業及諸多科學領域的仿真模型將有所貢獻。

 

為強化其NIW申請資格，我們建議該客戶蒐集其他電腦科學領域專家撰寫推薦信，該客戶一共蒐集 4 封推薦信，其中一位在信中表示：

“[Client] has repeatedly proven himself to be one of the most capable researchers in his field. His accomplishments in reproducibility represent a unique level of insight which has scarcely been matched by any other active computer science researcher.”

 

另一位推薦人亦不乏類似褒獎之詞：
